The scope of work for this project was to remove the roof from this existing 2 & 1/2 story condominium building and add a new third story. The third story would include three large condominium units and the owner's penthouse unit. The owners created an additional challenge by requiring the use of the building until the middle of August for the summer season. Even though we were not allowed to start until the middle of August our required deadline was still the Christmas Holiday week. The owners actually had the units rented. With the extreme effort from our crew under extreme winter conditions, as well as keeping any damage from happening to the bottom two floors, we finished on time.
CONDOMINIUMS, APARTMENT COMPLEXS, DUPLEXS, GROUP LIVING FACILITIES AND RETIREMENT HOMES
This is a showcase of some of our favorite Multi-Residential projects including: Storm Meadows Condominiums A, B and C, Scandinavian Lodge/Exterior Rehabilitation, the Kutuck Building Demolition and the Johnston Duplex conversion project.
The owner of this complex approached us about demolishing the newly finished three story commercial retail building and replace it with a landscaped deck & hot tub area, because it was blocking the view of the ski mountain from his personal condominium. When we visited the site the painters were actually putting the finishing touches on the interior of the building. We proceeded to tear down and remove this three story building and built the complex a beautiful landscaped hot tub deck area.
The owners of this existing home on the fairway of the ski mountain golf course asked us to construct a two-story addition and remodel to create a conversion from a custom single family home to a custom duplex. This also included installation of new windows and stucco siding on the entire exterior. The owners decision to do this in order to create an additional income for when they retired. If a home is in an area that allows the installation of duplex this is a great way to create supplemental retirement income. The option is also available, if the covenants allow, to sell one half of the duplex and invest the proceeds or pay the owners half off eliminating any mortgage payments.
A complete exterior renovation of Storm Meadows Condominiums located at the base of the ski area in Steamboat Springs, Colorado was completed by Tyke Pierce Construction in 2010. This project included a new Stucco exterior finish, replacement of metal exterior windows and deck/patio sliding glass doors and railings. A new exterior entrance door at the East end of the building including two massive stone columns , a roof extension and shingle façade. Stone veneer was added in lieu of the stucco siding on the lower elevations. The resort sports a complete spa facility with a heated outdoor pool, hot tubs, sauna and weight room, and exercise equipment which we completely remodeled. The site drainage at the front of the buildings was reworked including the removal and replacement of the concrete entry slabs.
